FALL FOOD DRIVE
Thank you so much to all of our families for your support of the Bedford Lions Food Pantry. Together, we were able to donate almost 600 non-perishable food items to help support families in our community!
CAFETERIA NEWS
Today the NS School lunch program began and we distributed 400 meals to students today! Thank you so much for all of the hard work from our Cafeteria Staff and the Chartwell’s organization. Just a reminder that if you order lunch, to please send a drink or water bottle with your child as beverages are not included. Additionally, the cafeteria will not be offering point of sale items any longer, as they are very busy preparing and packaging the lunch orders.
HALLOWEEN AT BASINVIEW
On October 31st, Basinview will be celebrating Halloween by inviting students and staff to wear Black and Orange to school. We will not be wearing costumes this year. Each class will be celebrating Halloween with fun learning experiences, centers, themed lessons etc… We had a great turn out to our first PTA Spooktacular Halloween Dance. It was a great chance for students to have fun together and preview their Trick or Treating costumes!
REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY
We would like to invite all service members, past and present, to our Remembrance Day Assembly on Friday, November 8th at 10:45am. This is a special occasion to honor the courage and sacrifices of those who have served, or currently work in service of our country. We will share tributes, reflections, and moments of silence to commemorate the bravery of our veterans and active duty service members.
Your presence will add great meaning to our assembly and we would like to take this time to show our appreciation in person. Kindly RSVP by Thursday, November 7th to Mr. Cleary – tcleary@hrce.ca. Thank you for your service; we look forward to coming together to honor our heroes.
PTA PIZZA FUNDRAISER
The Basinview Drive PTA is thrilled to partner with Randy’s Pizza to raise funds for brand-new classroom supplies and innovative learning tools.
Students are invited to sell pizza kits to friends and family from October 28th to November 5th. Order forms will be going home today or tomorrow from their classroom teachers with additional information.
